Model creation for Pedigree®!

Top model Jodie Kidd, has teamed up with Pedigree® to bring an element of designer style to the Pedigree dog for the ‘Battersea Dog Parade’, an event to raise money for the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The exhibition of 25 exclusively customised fibreglass dogs will be unveiled at the In & Out Club in London on the 14 September. Jodie’s high-fashion designer Pedigree dog will be alongside creations by top celebrities including Tom Cruise, Elton John and Orlando Bloom.

The collection of stylish dogs, including Jodie’s addition for Pedigree, the UK’s leading dog food brand1 , will add an element of canine design to the catwalks of the prestigious London Fashion Week from the 18-22 September.

As a dog lover and a queen of style, Jodie comments, “I have four dogs myself and have adopted from the Battersea Dogs’ and Cats’ Home in the past. My design for Pedigree was inspired by a recent trip to Morocco with all its beautiful colours and patterns, especially this one taken from a traditional Moroccan henna tattoo.”

Following the Battersea Dog Parade one-day exhibition, the Pedigree dog will join the other customised dogs at a live auction hosted by Christies. All proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Battersea Dogs’ and Cats’ Home.

Spokesperson for Pedigree, Sally Shaw comments, “We are thrilled to have Jodie as our dog designer for the Battersea Dog Parade and the event is a great way to bring celebrities and dog-lovers together to raise money for such a worthy cause. Pedigree is thrilled to be part of such a fun and worthwhile event.”
