At its meeting on 6 September 2005, the General Committee granted recognition to the Korean Jindo with effect from 1 January 2006. The Breed will be classified on the Imported Breeds Register in the Utility Group. No Breed Standard has been issued for the Korean Jindo, therefore it is ineligible for exhibition at Kennel Club licensed breed shows. All applications for registration must include an original pedigree stamped by the Magistrate of Jindo County.
