An 85-year-old woman has thanked her pet dog for coming to her rescue for the second time. Betty McKinnon was alerted to a gas leak in the middle of the night, caused by a now-condemned gas fire, by her six-year-old Bichon Frise Tomas who has become something of a hero. It was only a year ago Tomas nudged a phone towards his mistress after she fell and suffered a suspected broken pelvis at her home on a Conwy caravan park. Betty said, “He is my best friend, I don't know what I'd do without him.”
