MacMillan Dog Day 2006

Animal lovers of all ages are invited to give their pooch a day out to remember at the fifth annual Macmillan Dog Day on Tuesday 4 July in the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Celebrity guests in recent years have included The Duchess of Cornwall and Tosca Parker-Bowles (Chairdog), milliner Phillip Treacy, Tamara Mellon CEO of Jimmy Choo, Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox, style advisors Trinny & Susannah and model Normandie Keith, who all attended with their beautiful dogs. Last year the event raised over £45,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support who provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer.

Along with the celebrity dog lovers, guests can join in the canine fun and enter their dog into a variety of classes including 'Waggiest Tail', 'Perkiest Pup' and 'A Bit of Ruff'.

In between classes, there are opportunities for some doggy retail therapy, with a variety of stalls selling everything a dog could ever need, as well as face-painting fun for children, a luxury Grand Prize Draw, a special doggy deli and of course refreshments for their owners too.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £5 for children, and are available via: Tel: 020 7795 0055 Email: London.events@macmillan.org.uk
