A LABRADOR puppy has left his owners financially bereft after eating the contents of his owners wallet.

Six-month-old Oak chomped through a cheque for £440, ripped up £360 in cash and chewed credit cards all belonging to his owners, Richard and Barbara Mason. Richard’s wallet had been ‘hidden’ under a tea towel in the couple’s kitchen.

The stunned pair turned to find the money had, literally, become a dog’s dinner!

Richard said: “There's no point having a go at the dog. What's happened has happened. Luckily the bank honoured the cheque and told me to stick the money together the best I can!”.
