A LITTER of of Labrador puppies were abandoned in a cardboard box last week, having been left on a beach in Scotland in torrential rain.

They were rescued by a man from Bo'ness, West Lothian, who was walking his own dog along the sand beside the River Forth. The Dogs Trust centre at West Calder are looking for homes for the five labrador cross-bred pups named Shore, Beach, Shell, Pebble and Surf.
