Treasurer disqualified for theft

A complaint against the Treasurer of the Giant Schnauzer Club has been upheld by the Kennel Club Disciplinary Sub Committee, which met late last month.

The Committee had been asked to consider a complaint brought against Mrs Ute Plett-Graef of Pontefract, West Yorks for false accounting and theft, which occurred during her time with the Club.

It was found that Mrs Ute Plett-Graef had behaved discreditably or prejudicially to the interests prejudicially to the interests of the canine world in that on 27 April 2006 she received a police caution from the West Yorkshire Police in April of this year.

Mrs Plett-Graef has been suspended from exhibiting at, taking part in, attending and/or having any connection with any event licensed by the Club, becoming a member of a Club; acting as an Officer or serving on the committee of any canine society. She has also been disqualified from judging at any event licensed by the Club and from registration and/or competition any or all dogs and/or progeny of such dogs which are owned and/or registered by her.
