A homeless man will be sleeping rough this Christmas because he refuses to be separated from his beloved pet dog.

Andy Mallet has not been able to find a place to stay because landlords have refused his 11 year old German Shepherd, Sabre.

‘I would probably be able to find somewhere to live without Sabre, but I cannot bear to part with him. We have been together since he was a pup and he would pine to death without me,’ says Mr Mallet.
