Thelma Wine - in memory
A beautiful service was held on January 25th 2006 at Taunton Deane Crematorium in memory of Thelma Wine.
The church was full of people from the world of dogs who had known and worked with this most lovely of ladies.
Thelma was well known in the Chow world and attended her first show in 1955 this being the Bath CC show and really became involved with showing after marrying Bob whose parents had shown Chows since 1920.
Although Thelma did not handle a lot in the ring she did much of the hard work preparing the dogs which over the years amounted to a great number. Thelma also took a lot of interest in other breeds.
She was very keen on keeping records of their breed and over the years compiled many books of photos and judging reports. Thelma awarded CC's in Chow's many times and also judged utility groups at many Open Shows.
Thelma had served on several general society committees and was still on Taunton & District Canine Association of which she was a Life Member. For over 25 years she was treasurer of the West of England Chow Chow Club and a tremendous help to Bob as Secretary of the Club as Thelma enjoyed writing.
Our thoughts are with Bob and his family at this time of their sadness.
