The internationally acclaimed and award-winning artist Misha Lenn has developed a very distinctive style of watercolour painting. The complex patterns of Gustav Klimt, the elegance and grace of Edward Degas, the romantic verve of Auguste Renoir, the technical command of Claude Monet and the vibrant energy of Toulouse Lautrec have been his primary influences.
At an early age Lenn began to study music, but soon found that he had an inclination to draw. He made the switch from music studies to art and has not looked back since.
Misha Lenn still indulges his passion for music whilst playing jazz piano in his spare time, Music also appears in his art, in the form of musical scores collaged into his paintings, an element that has become his artistic trademark.
Lenn received his Masters degree from the prestigious Academy of Art and Design in St. Petersburg, Russia, and has had numerous solo exhibitions. His watercolor paintings can be found in private collections and museums in the USA, Russia, Germany, Canada, France, Sweden, Spain, Israel and Monaco. In addition to the Westminster Kennel Club his prestigious list of clients includes Calvin Klein, DKNY, Harvard University, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, Time Magazine, Godiva Chocolatier, just to name a few. In the midst of all of his successes, however, he still finds the time to teach.
The artist Bart Forbes is best known as a painter of sporting subjects. He has painted a number of works for both the PGA and Senior’s Golf tournaments. He has also designed over 20 commemorative postage stamps for the US postal service, including the 1998 Olympic stamps and the ‘America the Beautiful’ stamps.
His work regularly appears in the magazines Sports Illustrated and Time, and his list of corporate clients includes Exxon, Pepsi-Cola, ABC-TV, Eastman Kodak, General Electric, Lockheed, American Airlines, and the National Football League.
Continuing his Olympic theme, Forbes was selected by the Korean Olympic Committee to be the official Artist for the Seoul Olympics and his paintings of the games are now housed in the Olympic Museum in Seoul. He was also commissioned to paint the official posters for the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games as well as producing poster art for the Boston Marathon, The Americas Cup and the Indianapolis 500 motor race.
