STAFF AT Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter are appealing for help in finding a home for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that they have named ‘Duo’.

Because of a harelip, Duo has the appearance of having two noses.

Duo was brought into the centre by police, who believe he was either lost or abandoned. Staff say that apart from his unique appearance, he is like most Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Head of fund raising at the centre, Michelle Pyle commented. ‘We've had a few people come and see him and say he's a freak.

‘Duo is not a freak, he's just unusual. Not many people can say they've got a dog like that.’
