To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the British Samoyed Club, is holding a unique event, called The Spitzical, on Saturday, April 15th at the Sketchley Grange Hotel, Hinckley. The Spitzical will be a match based event celebrating all the Spitz breeds across currently registered in the UK.

Each breed club has been asked to nominate three dogs (dog, bitch and puppy) to represent their breed in a knock out match. The Spitzical matches will be judged by a highly qualified overseas Spitz specialist, whose identity will remain secret until the start of the event.

There will also be a short auction with some spectacular canine items on sale, as well as mouthwatering lots such as a week with an Iditarod Musher at her kennels, in Alaska; a piece of period furniture personalised for Spitz breeds.
