KC Gallery to host Royal Dogs exhibition

The Kennel Club Art Gallery is proud to host its ninth exhibition ‘Royal Dogs: A display to celebrate the 80th birthday of our Patron Her Majesty The Queen’ from 16th May – 14th July.

The Kennel Club will display items from the collection of Her Majesty The Queen. These wonderful exhibits include portraits of Royal dogs from the days of Queen Victoria to the famous Corgis owned by The Queen.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see portraits of Royal dogs from Queen Victoria’s reign onwards. King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra were known for their love of dogs and the exhibition includes a portrait of the King’s favourite Fox Terrier Caesar.

The culmination of the exhibition will be some portraits of the delightful Corgis who have accompanied The Queen throughout Her reign. The Kennel Club Art Gallery is open Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm by appointment.
