Collie Holley is RSPCA Rescue Dog of the Year

A COLLIE-CROSS named Holley from Cambridge has been voted the RSPCA Dog of the Year Holley was announced as the charity’s East region's RSPCA Dog of the Year last month before going on to compete against four other regional winners for the top title. Popular Holley secured almost 50 per cent of the overall votes making her the public's firm favourite.

Holley was found tethered to a stake on a roundabout when she was just nine-months old. She was muzzled, had a rope tied through her mouth and was covered in bruises where she had been kicked and punched. She was also pregnant.

She is now very happy with her new owner Graham Misson and has overcome her many fears and anxieties. She is even a registered PAT dog regularly visiting people in hospital, hospices and residential homes.
