A PET Labrador has been euthanased after apparently attacking a 20-month-old girl.

The attack happened on the toddler happened last week whilst the dog was being supervised in the rear garden of a house in Woodbury.

The girl was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

"The owner of the dog, who is known to the family involved, arranged for the dog to be destroyed," the spokesman said.
