I am extremely sad to record the death of Jean Borland- Anderson, aged 83 on Monday 26th March. Jean was a ‘true lady’ of OES, they were her life.

I first met Jean in the early 60s and we remained good friends ever since, not enjoying the best of heath in recent years its yet another loss not only to the breed but to her husband Charlie and their family. Jean had been involved with OES and later Tibetan Terriers since the early 60s probably her most famous being Ch Jeabor Shugga Puff who was made up in 1987. Winning stock was exported to America, Australia and Germany.

A championship show judge of OES for many years, her last being at the Irish club show in 2006. With several important appointments in Europe and how proud was Jean to judge the breed at Crufts in 1988. She was a hon life member of the north western OES club for many years.

I’m sure everyone in OES would like to send their thoughts and good wishes to Charlie at this sad time.
