Last week on Monday April 16th Midland Counties President Leslie Page celebrated his 90th birthday. To celebrate the occasion the Midland Counties CS committee held an informal lunch for invited guests and members of the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society. Held at Weston Hall near Bingley Hall Les was thanked for his thirty years of hard work on the committee on which he had held various posts.He was presented with a model of a blue roan Cocker Spaniel and was treated to an impromptu chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ by Ginny Mole niece of the secretary.He is pictured here with principal officers of the society, left to right, treasurer Mr Jack Randall, secretary Mrs Margaret Everton and new chairman Mr Robert Greaves. Speaking in appreciation of the ‘fuss’ made over his coming of age he thanked everyone for their good wishes
