Bull Terrier beaten to death

Police have appealed to the public in an attempt to find two men who beat a dog to death in the Hull, Yorkshire.

The men attacked the bull terrier after it became involved in a fight with another dog on Huntingdon Street, off Hessle Road, on Sunday night. Police said the black and white dog, which is believed to have been a stray, was hit with sticks or golf clubs and died from a blow to the head.

A Humberside Police spokeswoman appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
The other dog involved in the fight was a tan and black mongrel. Police said they had not been able to trace its owner.

One of the men was described as 5ft 8in tall, aged 25 to 30, of slim build, and wearing a black vest top. The second man was bare-chested and was possibly wearing red shorts.
