Bill Lambert joins KC

From the beginning of September, Bill Lambert will be joining the Kennel Club permanent staff.

Since April 2006, Bill has acted as the Breeder Advisor for the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme, assessing and advising kennels on the scheme. He is now joining the Kennel Club on a full time basis, managing the Health and Information Team.

Bill has been owned by Bull Terriers all his life, and he and his wife Carolyn bred their first litter in 1982. Twenty five years later they are now into their 8th generation, making up eight champions along the way. Bill has also taken Best of Breed at Crufts three times, and has judged Bull Terriers for the last 25 years. He will be judging the breed at Crufts in 2008.

Bill has served a number of canine societies, including the Bull Terrier Club, where he is a former Vice Chairman and has been on the committee since 1980.  He has been a regular spokesman for both his breed, and dogs in general, for the last ten years; protecting dogs and defending them within the media.

In addition to his role within the Health and Information Department, Bill will act as a spokesman for the Kennel Club alongside Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary. He will also utilise his years of experience to assist the External Affairs department in its lobbying work on dangerous dogs legislation and other specialist areas.
