10,000 dogs for Manchester


Terry ThornManchester Dog Show Society has attracted an entry of 12282 from 10447 dogs for its championship show next month.

As we go press we have heard that Terry Thorn has withdrawn from his juddging appointments at the show. He says he has forced to because of continued poor health. He hopes to be back in the ring at WELKS show in April 2008.

Exhibitors are asked to note the following changes to the printed schedule:-YKC Stakes 1st Day - AV Pastoral Dog or Bitch should be class no 411; Chihuahuas (Longcoat) will now be judged by Miss A Davies; Bernese Mountain Dogs will now be judged by Mrs Brenda Banbury (subject to KC approval); Swedish Vallhunds will now be judged by Mrs Jean Banks (subject to KC approval); Dachshunds (Miniature Smooth Haired) - Mrs Zena Thorn-Andrews will be weighing the dogs and in German Spitz (Klein) - Linda Connor will be measuring the dogs.
