Collie missing after fall from van

A BORDER Collie is missing after falling from its owner’s van on the way to a show.

Last Saturday December 30th, somewhere between being put in her owner’s van at Neston, in the Wirral, and junction 26 of the M6, near Wigan (via the M56), while on the way to a show, Border Collie bitch ‘Hustle’ fell out. Searchers are out looking over a vast area, but so far there have been no sightings of this distinctive dark blue merle bitch. Hustle was wearing a black leather collar with blue studs.

Hustle’s owner, Kemal Fernandez, who lives in Essex, had travelled north the day before, and is desperate to get her back. Concerned friends are travelling up from the South East to help in the search for her. But the sheer logistics of looking for a dog in an unfamiliar location, covering such a huge area and where they have few contacts is making their search very difficult.

Readers are asked that if you have seen a dog fitting this description anywhere in the area between Neston and Wigan, in a large radius around the area, or one turning up unexpectedly near you, wherever you live, in case a driver picked her up and took her home, please ring any of the numbers, below. Offers of help in the search would be very gratefully received. Posters can be printed off from the Dog Lost site www.doglost.co.uk.

Anyone with any news relating to Hustle is asked to call 07957 358057 or 07708 769748 or 07831 267730
