CHART-TOPPING American pop singer, Pink, is mourning the loss of her Bulldog after he drowned in the swimming pool at her home.

The Bulldog, named Elvis and given to Pink by friend Lisa-Marie Presley was found floating on the surface after the singer had left the house for about an hour. Pink, real name Alecia Moore attempted to revive the dog, but was unsuccessful.

It is estimated that more dogs drown in home swimming pools than people, despite dogs being naturally better swimmers. It is understood that Elvis was a capable swimmer and enjoyed going in the pool.
