Duncan Green awarded CBE

Duncan Green, a trustee of national canine charity the Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) and former Director General of Battersea Cats’ and Dogs’ Home, was rewarded with a CBE for his life-long dedication to animal welfare in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Mr Green has been a trustee of the RGT for six years. The RGT now has 70 branches across the UK from the Isle of Skye to Jersey, with an army of volunteers dedicated to spreading the word that greyhounds make wonderful pets.

Director of the RGT, Ivor Stocker, said: ‘Duncan is a very worthy recipient of this honour and it is excellent that animal welfare should be recognised in this way. We are thankful to him for all of his hard work for the RGT and his efforts in spreading the word about this wonderful breed.’
