Dog ban plan for playgrounds

A council in Cornwall may ban dogs from a number of children's play areas in the district and wants local people to give their views on the proposal.

Kerrier wants to put dog control orders on nearly 40 designated, council-owned play areas to ensure a safe clean environment for children. Councillors are concerned about the health risks of dog fouling and the dangers of dogs running around where children are playing.

Local people are being invited to give their views on these plans before 12 July.
