Publication of the second quarter of 2007 registration figures show an increase in overall totals of 12.6%. The figures show increases in all of the seven groups with a huge rise of 21.9% in the utility group. Taking the figures group by group hounds were up by 18.2%, gundog +10.7%, terrier +13.9%, utility +21.9%, working +5%, pastoral +11.9% and toys +15.4%.

Keeping the utility figures high were increases in Bulldogs +41% on the same quarter last year, Lhasa Apsos +25%, Miniature Schnauzers +31%. Toy Poodles +18% and Shih Tzus + 20%.
In 2006 the Kennel Club earned £7,168,000 from registrations and transfers.
