Club member in theft charges

A MEMBER of the Anglian Boxer Club has been found guily of offences of theft and false accounting by the KC Disciplinary Sub-Committee, following appearances at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 24 November 2006 and the Nottingham Crown Court on 12 January 2007.

Mr J McGuigan of Aspley, Nottingham was disqualified from exhibiting at, taking part in, attending and/or having any connection with any event licensed by the Club and also from being or becoming a member of any canine club or society registered with or affiliated to the Kennel Club; acting as an Officer or serving on the committee of any canine society or judging.

A series of other disqualifications were also upheld, after the committee heard of the seriousness with which the Court viewed these offences and taking into account the breach of trust by Mr McGuigan with regards to his membership and standing in the Club.
