Opera Lovers in the Dog House ?

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is teaming up with the European Chamber Opera to showcase Giuseppe Verdi's famous love story, La Traviata. Held in the grounds of the Royal Geographical Society on 28th June 2007, and with all proceeds going towards the Home, this magnificent opera boats some of the most passionate opera music ever written.

For one night only, the stunning grounds of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) will host a tale of an ill-fated love between Violetta, a Parisian courtesan, and handsome Alfredo, set in mid-18th century Parisian life. Guests will be able to enjoy the opera and feast on a picnic set among the lush gardens of the RGS.

All money raised will go towards the care of the lost and abandoned dogs and cats at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Tickets cost £40 and can be booked via calling 0870 890 0000 or emailing fundraising@dogshome.org.
