This weekend you can help break a Guinness Book World Record with Butcher’s Dog Food at the Butcher’s Great North Dog Walk. Taking place on Sunday 17th June in South Shields, enjoy a leisurely day out with the whole family whilst taking part in the largest ever dog walk. Help make history and keep the record in the UK.
The internationally recognised event, which was first launched in 1990, takes place over some of the county’s most stunning landscape. There are four different routes ranging in distance and stretching across beautiful coastal paths with breathtaking sea views. Surfaces range between grass, gravel and concrete allowing for buggies, wheelchairs, the young and the elderly, disabled and older dogs. There is no excuse not to take part!
A great day out for adults and children alike, with entertaining dog displays, crazy face painting and bouncy castles to name just a few of the days activities. Starting on The Lees in South Shields at 10am, Butcher’s Dog Food encourages everyone to come, take part and help break the world record.
Says Alison Cockcroft, Brand Manager at Butcher’s, “To many, being ‘As Fit As A Butcher’s Dog’ is just a turn of phrase, but this is at the heart of everything we do. The Butcher’s brand is about feeding our best friends the very best! Natural and healthy food helps make for a happy dog so we strongly support the Butcher’s Great North Dog Walk, as it promotes wellbeing and quality time between families and their dogs. It is a great fun day out for people of all ages to take pleasure in the beautiful scenery and soak up the fresh sea air. This is the second year that we have been the headline sponsor and we very much look forward to trying to break the world record set last year.”
