Before the Best in Show was announced they first have an extra competition. The Best Junior in Show. Each Best Youth (Junior) dog in it’s breed was allowed to compete for Best Junior in Show. This was judged by Christofer Habig from Germany. Unfortunately this was almost a not done thing as from almost each breed entered of all the groups there was a best junior present. But not only in the main ring it was so crowed and packed, also in the collecting ring which made some small mistakes happen. The wrong Boxer entered the ring and what happens this Boxer ended up 2nd Best Junior in Show but due to the wrong entry in the ring it was disqualified afterwards. That’s why I only give you the name of the Winner of this Big Group. And the winner was…….The English Bulldog, Lemon vom Solo Soberano. Bred and owned by Zarka Laszlo from Hungary.

After all this it was finally up to Hans Mueller from Switzerland to decided which dog was the Best in Show for this 1st day showing. He awarded 3rd BIS to the winner of FCI Group 9, the smooth coated Chihuahua, Ch. Yo te Quiero Di Rio Galeria. Bred by Elena Antonava and owned by the kennel “di Rio Galeria di Poala Tartaro” from Italy. 2nd BIS went to the winner of FCI Group 10, the Azawakh, Ch. Shani Kel Dahoussahaq. Bred by Monika Kessler and owned by Francesca Zampini from Italy. And the winner and so BIS was the winner of FCI Group 5, the Siberian Husky, Misty May of Siberian Lady. Bred by the Kennel “of Siberian Lady” and owned by Petra Zoranića & Danijel Vuković from Hungary. A happy ending for this owner and her dogs for this day. But for some there was the follow up the same evening in the same halls. As some clubs organized a club show as well. And many club Winner titles were to be gained that evening. So that’s why it was possible to do 3 shows in one weekend. 2 International show and 1 national Club Championship. Well that was it for the first day…would todays winners be the same as for the second??????

An other day a new winner!!!!!!

A new day, a new beginning I have been thought. New Judges, other ideas and even some new dogs on at the show. The second day seemed to be running even more smoothly then the first day. Especially as most entry passes for the second day were handed out on the first day. So many people could just walk on in and find their rings.

The main ring program was similar to the one of the day befor. We started with the judging of Best Baby in Show. Zuzana Brotankova from the Czech Republic judges this group. 3rd place was awarded to the 5 month old Akita, Dei Laghi Tailly Ziamu No Sakuramboo. Bred and owned by the Dei Laghi Tailly kennel from Italy. 2nd place went to the 5 month old French Bulldog, Grand A’ne Juliette. Bred by Olga Kojek and owned by Urša Kunej from Slovenia. And 1st and so Best Baby in Show was the Clumber Spaniel, Chervood’s snowsun, bred by the Chervood’s kennel and owned by Lana Levai from Hungary.

After the puppies it was up to the Puppies to enter the main ring. And it was up to Robin Searle from Great Britain to judge this big group of youngsters. His winner and so Best Puppy in Show was the Greyhound, Noble Spirit of Chelsea. Bred by K. & E. & F. Wirthlin and owned by Melitta Fischer from Austria. 2nd place was awarded to the Miniature Schnauzer (peper/salt), His Eminence. Bred by Larisa Rezkova and owned by Minjon Milanović from Hungary. 3rd place was awarded to the Shih Tzu, Beverly – Brooke Letibo. Bred by Leona Tiljak-Bonnot and owned by Kolar Snježana from Hungary.

After our youngsters had left the main ring it was up to the oldest of our show to step into the main ring….and NO I don’t mean the judge. It was Herbert Heim from Germany who judged this group. The podium was the same as the day before, probably also due to the small entry in this group. 3rd place was awarded to their National breed, the Slovenia Shepherd (there better known as the Kraški Ovčar)  named Ch. Šana, bred and owned by Franc Kiseljak from Slovenia. 2nd place was awarded to the black Toy Poodle, Osmanthus Kashaia. This 10 year old boy is bred by the Osmanthus kennel and owned by Olivera Djordjević from SRB. The award Best Veteran in Show was for the almost 10 year old Maltese, Paper Man Mary Evan, Bred by Antonin Nejezchleb and owned by Monika Kupicova from the Czech Republic.

The Best Brace in Show was judged was Christian Stefanescu from Romenia. He had a nice entry of braces. But he decided to give the title Best brace in show to the Japanese Akita’s Ch. And winner and BIG of FCI Group 1 was the Bearded Collie, Ch. No-Nonsense’s Dachenka. Bred by M. & V. van den Berghe-Lagring from Belgium and owned by Karina Grigoryan from Russia. A good day this was for this owner as you can see the 1st and 2nd place belong to the same owner. And what is also funny to know, both dogs were judged by the same judge, Mr. Tamas Jakkel from Hungary.

Next group to enter the ring was FCI Group 2. Today it was Christofer Habig from Germany that judged this group. He found his winner in the Leonberger, Lancelot vom Matthiasberg.
