A PAIR of canines have done their best to disprove the theory that dogs are a man's best friend.

Charlie the Boxer and Zuben the Bullmastiff became unlikely arsonists after they set fire to their owner's home.

The fire started at house in Leicestershire when one of the dogs accidentally switched on an electric cooker when it leapt up.

Now the family are living on takeaways after the fire left the cooker useless.
