At its meeting on April 24, the General Committee agreed to allocate Championship Status with effect from 2008 to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever at the following shows:

Full set of Challenge Certificates: Crufts, Birmingham Dog Show Society, Scottish Kennel Club (May), Welsh Kennel Club, National Gundog Association and the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club
Single Challenge Certificate: Blackpool CS and Driffield AS
