Greyhound awareness week

A street stall in Bath, during last year's Greyhound Awareness Week

THIS YEAR’S Greyhound Awareness Week runs from Saturday, May 19th to Sunday, May 27th and once gives an opportunity for all those concerned about the plight of some greyhounds to educate the public about welfare.

Tony Peters of Greyhound Action said: ‘With a large enough boycott by ordinary people, the industry can be brought to its knees and the suffering and untimely death of thousands of greyhounds prevented.’

Street stalls, demos outside greyhound tracks, betting shop pickets and other events will be taking place throughout the country. Anyone who would like to take part, is asked to contact Greyhound Action for leaflets, posters, petition forms etc.
