The Kennel Club Annual Report 2006/07 The Kennel Club has been leading various projects aimed at tackling the problem of puppy farming in preparation for lobbying Defra regarding measures to drive rogue breeders out of business. The Kennel Club has met with Moto Service Station representatives to discuss tackling the problem of puppy farmers selling puppies in service station car parks. An information guide for service station staff and an article for the Moto newsletter have been produced. The Kennel Club has also produced information on the Accredited Breeder Scheme for MPs as the Government has pledged to monitor the success of the scheme for future legislation. The Club is also the driving force behind a working group looking at ways of tackling the problem, hosting and acting as secretariat for the group.
