Eukanuba World Challenge 2007

Eukanuba is proud to announce that Mark Dunnachie and his top winning Dalmatian Ch Dvojica Voodoo JW (Magic) will be the UK’s representative competing at the inaugural Eukanuba World Challenge on the 2nd December 2007 in California.

He and Magic have had a tremendous year in the UK show ring winning four BISs at General Ch Shows plus three BISs at Dalmatian Club Ch Shows, five Group 1 and 2 Group 3s, placing them as the highest ranking eligible dog in the UK under the devised points system.

When Mark realised Magic’s pet passport was valid and he fulfilled all the criteria required to compete, he was absolutely delighted and says ‘I feel honoured that Magic and I will be representing the UK at the Eukanuba World Challenge. At first I thought that Magic’s Pet Passport was not yet valid for her to re – enter the UK in December. It was after my conversation with DEFRA and their confirmation that.’

When this came to light Mike Gadsby and Jason Lynn, being ultimate sportsmen, volunteered to step aside to enable Mark and Magic to compete. Mike and Jason with their Am & UK Ch Afterglow The Big Tease will be attending the AKC/Eukanuba National Championships to compete in the breed competition.

Mike Bloxsome from Eukanuba says: ‘We have been in talks with Mark during the show calendar and he advised us that he thought Magic’s pet passport was not valid. However after Defra confirmed that it is valid, we were delighted to offer Mark the opportunity to represent the UK. Mike and Jason have shown their true professionalism and impeccable integrity by voluntarily stepping aside to allow Mark to be the UK representative. We are very pleased to be associated with them.’

Magic’s show career began when she made her show ring debut at six months of age and was awarded Best Puppy In Show at the Dalmatian Club of Scotland in September 2004 under breed specialist, Christine Johnson. This was the beginning of her illustrious show career culminating to date by gaining 32 CC’s (14 in 2007, 11 CC’s in 2006 and 7 CC’s in 2005) with multi group placing and Best In Show Awards. In 2007, Mark and Magic have been awarded BIS at Leeds Ch Show by Mrs Ferelith Somerfield, BIS at Paignton by Mrs Liz Cartledge, BIS at Border Union by Mr Bryn Cadogan and at Three Counties by Mrs Dagmar Kennis-Pordham. Additionally they were BIS at the Dalmatian Club of Scotland under Caroline Gatheral (this is the third time they have won BIS at this Club’s Ch Show). The North Of England Dalmatian Club under Sheila Stevenson and The Northern Ireland Dalmatian Club Show under Teressa Gardinor.

Magic gained her title in 2005 with her first CC being awarded by Andrew Brace, her 2nd under Joe Kirk and her third under Rob Sansom. In 2006 and 2007 Magic was BOB at Crufts being shortlisted in the group in 07.
