Dogs found in rubbish

Two puppies have died after being found among a litter of four dumped with rubbish fly-tipped in West Sussex.

The black cross-breed dogs were found in a cardboard box containing wood shavings at Lee Farm Lane, Patching.

The puppies were described as being in a very poor condition and were taken to a veterinary surgeon in Worthing for medical attention.

Police said they were found on 29 October, and have urged anyone with any information to contact them.
