Charities benefit from dog centre
AT AN Open Meeting of the Northern Dog Centre at the Outwood Memorial Hall, Leeds Road, Wakefield it was decide that four canine charities should benefit from funds.
Twenty one fully paid up members were present, plus representatives from both dog papers. The purpose of the meeting was to wind up the affairs of the Northern Dog Centre and following a lengthy discussion it was decided that closure was the best option.
The cash assets will be divided between the following four charities after clearance of administration fees:
Hearing Dogs For The Deaf, Canine Partners For Independence, Dogs For The Disabled and the Cancer Trust For Dogs. Each charity will receive a sum in excess of £4000.
A final report will be made when all of these instructions have been completed.
