Hearing Dogs appeals for dogs

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity is asking for owners to donate their dogs to help deaf people.

The national charity with centres in Saunderton, Princes Risborough, and North Yorkshire provides deaf people with specially-trained dogs to help alert them to dangers.

But the charity has a shortage of dogs and is now asking for people to donate their pets. It is particularly interested in small to medium sized dogs, between the age of eight weeks and three years.

Nearly all breeds, crossbreeds and mongrels can be trained but there are a few breeds that are not suited to the work.

If you have a puppy or young adult dog up to three years of age, that you think might have a suitable temperament to be a hearing dog, call Hearing Dogs on 01844-348129.
