New secretary for Belfast

At the Annual General Meeting of Belfast Dog Show Society held on Monday 31st March 2009 in the Malone Lodge Hotel Mrs Alexa Brown was elected as the new secretary.

Mrs Brown has been a member of BDSS since 1981 and has served on the Management Committee since 1992. Within Belfast she has worked as Chief Steward/Awards Officer, Area Steward, Show Manager, Chairperson of Committee and Assistant Treasurer. Alexa has also been involved in the administration of Canine Societies in a variety of roles i.e., Secretary, Show Secretary, Chairperson, Treasurer for the past 28 years. Mrs Brown was a founder member of the NI Gundog Field and Show Society and has also represented breed clubs at Breed council level. Alexa has also endeavoured to support canine enthusiasts by delivering KC accredited training in Stewarding, Requirements of a Dog Show Judge, and Hands on Assessment.
