Dogged determination gets hare lip to Channel Islands

When Hare Lip, a friendly mongrel rescued by Manchester Dogs’ Home, found a new owner, CrossCountry was delighted to help him on his way to his new home in the Channel Islands.

Named because of his unfortunate appearance, he had been consequently overlooked by many prospective owners visiting the Dogs’ Home despite his friendly and loving nature.

But during the filming of ‘Dog Rescue’ for ITV1, the producers discovered that Hare Lip had at last been offered a good home by a lady living on Alderney in the Channel Islands. But he needed help with his epic journey from Manchester to Southampton for his flight.

CrossCountry was delighted to provide free train travel for Hare Lip, now renamed Elvis.
