Actress is all set to judge Salukis


Model and actress Clair Chrysler will be making a celebrity guest appearance at the Sharley Park Leisure Centre in Clay Cross, Derbyshire. The well-known model - who has worked alongside Sharon Stone - will be judging the Northern Saluki Club 30th Anniversary championship show, which takes place on 27th April 2008.

Clair ChryslerMs. Chrysler was asked to attend the ceremony after her close friend, Tony Sissons, was taken ill and has since had to retire from the event. ‘My dear friend who was originally judging has been taken ill ... so I am doubly honoured to be asked to judge in his place,’ said The American model has been involved in Salukis for 35 years and first appeared as a judge in the show ring in 1979. She then went on to become a National Coursing Club judge in the mid-80’s after attaining her first Championship appointment at Richmond.

Beginning her modelling career at the tender age of three, Clair quit filming when she married. She made a long-awaited return to the industry in the UK more than 20 years ago and began standing in for leading ladies such as Faye Dunaway, Jamie Lee Curtis and and most recently appeared in Basic Instinct 2 as Sharon Stone’s body double.

However, Clair’s silver screen career falls by the wayside when it comes to her breeding career. One of her beloved Salukis, Tadj Mahal Emrani Izan, recently won three BOB’s. Clair is pictured with Tadj (right) and Abu Baqr’s Gazal Galiya for Anasazi on the left.
