Celebrate national pet month - dogs travel free
To celebrate National Pet Month (running until 5th May) leading boating holiday provider the Le Boat group is offering free places for dogs on all new holidays booked during the month.
Louisa Sievers, marketing manager for Le Boat, said: “We know from our customers that many of them consider their dog as part of the family and don’t want the worry or expense of leaving their dogs in kennels. That’s why for the duration of National Pet Month we’re waiving the charge for taking a dog with you on our holidays.
“The book ‘Narrowdog to Carcassonne’ and Rick Stein’s TV series French Odyssey with dog Chalky have increased the awareness that a boating holiday is a fun and flexible holiday option for enjoying with your dog.”
In addition to Le Boat’s cruising routes in the UK, the new style European Pet Passport means that holidaymakers can now take their dogs with them on boating holidays in France. Le Boat’s helpful team also provides travellers with details of local vets in the provided cruising guides.
Boat hire prices start from only £125 per person for a week on board a self-drive cruiser sleeping four people. Boats are available for parties of between two and 12 people - all are easy to handle and require no previous boating experience.
National Pet Month celebrates pets and animals throughout the UK and aims to promote responsible pet ownership and make people aware of the benefits of pets for people and people for pets.
