Border Collie set to take Europe by storm

Award-winning dream duo Katie Mitchell and Border Collie Rocky, have been selected to represent Great Britain in the British Agility Team at the European Open, next year.

The thriving double act will, in July, see themselves up against some of the international favourites at the competition taking place in Germany. The Yorkshire-based pair will be sponsored by Wagg Foods.

Katie (now eighteen years old) began training six-year-old Rocky when he was a puppy. It soon became obvious that Katie’s dedication - teamed with Rocky’s speed and intelligence - created an amazing pairing. Now, they train at home on a daily basis, twice a week at local clubs in Harrogate and Thirsk and spend the weekends travelling the country (and continent!) competing in shows.

Agility has now established itself as the fastest growing dog sport and, with more than 200 entrants in each class, the shows are highly competitive.
