Guide Dog

An apology is being demanded by a registered blind man who was allegedly told he could not board a train because his guide dog could be a health risk.

Mark McClenaghan, 36, was trying to get from Aberdeen to Edinburgh but the row meant that he missed his train. He described the attitude of the rail operator's staff as ignorant, offensive and discriminatory. The train operator, First ScotRail insisted guide dogs were welcome on all trains saying it would investigate the complaint.
