Collins sign up Kate and Gin

Collins has bought UK and Commonwealth rights to a pet care book featuring Kate Nicholas and her dancing dog Gin, who were semi-finalists in this year's Britain’s Got Talent show.

Kate and Gin will be published in hardback in October, priced £12.99. Commissioning editor Clare Kingston paid a five figure sum for the rights in a pre-empt deal with Mark Cowan from CEG Events, the television company behind ITV's Britain’s Got Talent.

The book will tell of Nicholas’ experiences with her dog Gin, and how they won numerous dog shows before entering "Britain’s Got Talent". It will also serve as a petcare guide, giving readers advice from everything like housing a new puppy to grooming.
