A pint of Carlsberg for Gin please!
CARLSBERG is desperate to sign Britain’s Got Talent wonderdog Gin to front a multi-million pound ad campaign.
The talented Border Collie wowed Simon Cowell and his fellow judges on the ITV1 hit with her amazing moon-walking exploits.
Now the lager-brewing giant has stepped in with a tempting deal for owner Kate Nicholas. The 16-year-old trained Gin to dance — and the super-pooch thrilled the nation as she made it through to the finals. But Kate has always made it clear she wants her beloved pet, who she has had since she was nine, to make it big across the world.
A source close to Kate, from Whitchurch, Shrops, said: “It is very exciting. This is like a dream come true for Kate. She wanted to get Gin into showbiz and a campaign like this could help them hit the big-time. She is planning to put the money towards opening a dog training academy of her own. It’s her dream.”
The beer company is famous for its “probably the best . . .” advertising slogans. And bosses have a variety of marketing concepts lined up for Gin — including training her to pull a pint.
An advertising source revealed: “There are a series of ideas — not least Gin having the best kennel in the world or the best dog’s night out. Carlsberg have contacted Kate and her family and they are now in talks.”
