Dogs stolen in farmhouse raid

THIRTY-SIX dogs and puppies worth £15,000 - some pedigrees and some just a few days old - have been stolen from a Carmarthenshire farm. They were taken while their owner was out last Saturday night (February 9th).

Police are investigating the raid on the isolated farm near Nantgaredig, and there are fears some of the youngest pups will not survive.

Owner Tegwyn Jones, who is offering a reward for information leading to their safe return, said he was devastated. In total five beagle bitches and 23 puppies, two Jack Russell bitches and three puppies, one Cavalier King Charles bitch and two Yorkshire terrier bitches were taken.

Mr Jones's partner Mary Trapp said: ‘In one scoop they were all gone. We are really worried about the puppies because two of them were just a day old and were under heated lamps to keep them warm.’
