Two charged over dog stabbing


TWO PEOPLE have been charged with animal cruelty after a pet dog had its throat cut on Teesside. The three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found covered in blood in Princes Way, Middlesbrough.

Police arrived at the scene in the early hours of last Friday morning and took the animal to an emergency vet where it had to be put down. Due to the severity of its injuries. Three local men, aged 16, 20, and 35, have been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and criminal damage and were due to appear in court this week. The owner of the animal has been informed.
