Newborn puppies dumped

TWO SIX day old puppies, believed to be Bull Terriers, have been nursed to health by an Animal Rescue Centre after they were left abandoned in a street.

Workers at the Ince Blundell centre are fearing it is the start of an influx of pets turfed out of homes during the festive period.

The two puppies were found dumped in a cardboard box on a street in Fazakerley, Liverpool by a passer-by.

One of the pups had a number of nasty flesh wounds which vets believe were inflicted by the pup’s mother. After being treated by vets, the pups, christened Joy and Hope, were taken to Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre.

The pair were milked and are now recovering well in a nearby foster home where they will spend the next eight weeks.
