Buses strike for WDS

As we go to press OUR DOGS has heard of a bus strike in Stockholm, Sweden the venue for the World Dog Show. Apparently this will affect a quarter of a million bus travellers this week. As a result, bus traffic in Stockholm could come to a complete standstill from the 1st July, as the drivers’ union have declared a strike over pay rises.

Up to 6 000 drivers are expected to walk out, after the union rejected a proposed pay deal. If no new deal is reached soon, then the strike is expected to spread to other parts of the country later in July.
