Boy hurt in dog attack
A 13-year-old boy from the West Midlands was badly injured on Monday when he was bitten by a dog.
Paramedics were called to an area of Wolverhampton where they found the local boy, who had suffered puncture wounds to his chest, injuries to his arm and bites to his abdomen, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
A spokesman said that when paramedics arrived there was no sign of the dog but a large crowd had gathered.
The boy, who has not been identified, was taken to Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital. His condition is not known.
The ambulance spokesman said the boy was "remarkably calm and very brave considering the level of injury he had suffered".
